'Carlton' was attacked when he was just twelve weeks old by a Labrador (a misadventure) and as a result, his showring debut was delayed until April 2000.

He enjoyed many good wins in his show career, but was always extremely evil in the ring, only winning when the judges forgave him for being so naughty on the lead.
He won Best Opposite Sex Minor Puppy in Show at the Cocker Spaniel National in August 2000, under Mrs Jean Smith of Sorbrook Kennels UK - I was so thrilled with this win, I couldn't be prouder of this lovely dog that I bred and owned.

Carlton achieved his Championship Title on 24th February 2001 at just 13 months of age.

He then went on to win Junior in Show at the Cocker Spaniel Club of Qld Championship Show 2001.

He was a Best in Group Winner and Multi Runner Up Best in Group and In Show Winner, and was also a finalist in the Cocker Spaniel Club of Queensland Cocker of the Year 2001.
Carlton accumulated a total of 340 CC points in his showring career retiring just shy of his second birthday.

The injury he sustained at 12 weeks, never quite left him, and he had a continuous swelling on his head that would require frequent drainage etc. 

I do believe that this dog was the very best dog I have had the pleasure to own, or to have bred and I couldn't be more proud of our beautiful 'Carlton'.
