We are very proud to welcome to Australia, our stunning black girl, Strudel. Big thank you to Tuija and Lars of Sheerclever Kennels, Denmark for parting with our lovely girl. She had been shown with In Show Awards from Baby & Puppy Class in Denmark and she has an Honor Prize to her credit and some lovely critiques, praising her beautiful movement, tail carriage and head. She was chosen for us by Tuija at 8 weeks of age, and she campagined her until she was 11 months old to leave for Australia.
'Strudel' arived in Australia (after a long flight of 29 hours) and then endured 30 days solitary quarantine in Sydney.
Both Sheerclever and Macdolly are so very proud of her successes.
She made her Australian showring debut, the first weekend out of quarantine and won Best Exhibit in Group (BIG-1st) at her second show from the Junior Class. She went on to make up her Australian Championship Title in five weeks of showing (in Australia they need to gain 100 CC points). To make up her title she won 2 x BIG-1, 2 x BIG-2, all from the Junior Class, and finished her title in fine style winning BEST IN SHOW ALL BREEDS (BIS-1) under a Gundog Specialist.
At the time that 'Strudel' went to Australia, there was no tail docking ban in place, so her wins are even more prestigious when you think that she was the ONLY undocked Cocker Spaniel in the showring.
'Strudel' was then semi-retired from showing as she dropped all her coat, due to the extreme heat conditions in Australia, but continued to make selected appearances in the ring during 2004. She won the Bitch CC at the Royal Brisbane Show under a Canadian Judge, again making breed history being the first undocked Cocker to ever win a Royal CC.
She returned to the showring in April 2005 and won Reserve Exhibit in Group . The next weekend she won BOB and Reserve in Group under Mrs Jan Edwards.
She attended approx 10 shows in 2005 until she came in season and was successfully mated, whelping her one and only litter in October 2005.
Getting this bitch into whelp was not an easy task for Macdolly, and after three failed attempts she produced her first litter for us in October 2005 - and we have retained her daughter, Ch Macdolly All Or Nothing.

'Strudel' was retired from the showring after this litter, with nothing left to prove and is loving being a very spoilt and beloved housepet with our friend Angela. We thank Tuija so much for our lovely 'Strudelydoo'
'Strudel' was the FIRST undocked Cocker Spaniel Bitch ever to win BEST IN SHOW ALL BREEDS in Australia, and the FIRST undocked Cocker Spaniel Bitch to win a ROYAL CC in Australia.
