We cannot thank Severine Cottebrune, from Kennel Merrily, enough for entrusting us with our lovely 'Froggy - allowing him to travel downunder and arriving in Australian quarantine in June 2009 and released 4 July 2009 - he then debuted in the Australian Show rings just six days later and winning Best of Breed on his first outing on 10 July 2009 and completing his Australian Championship title just nine days later - taking out BIG-1 (Group 1st/Best in Group) under renown gundog specialist, Ms Kaye McGhie.

Froggy is a strong dog, purpose built and covers the ground with ease and loves everyone he meets - we couldn't ask for more - thank you again Severine.  Unfortunately the aussie heat downunder and Froggy did not mix well, and he did not enjoy the outdoor shows we have in the heat, and we showed him infrequently for a few months - winning several Best in Group awards and amassing many CC's - we then clippered off his coat and retired him to be a much loved house companion, and a Stud Dog (however now he is acclimatised to the downunder weather this dog can fly around the yard and would do well in the rings again today if in coat).

Before leaving for Australia he enjoyed many lovely wins in Europe including BIS at the Spaniel Club Show in Berlin March 2009 and won BOB at the Berlin Sieger giving him the Berlin Sieger-09 title, The critique from Chris Hancock (Ireland) says it all:

" Typical breed type, lovely balance throughout, good head, really good reach of neck, lovely front with excellent bone, very good topline, good deep chest, spring of ribs, strong loin and excellent hindquarters. Lovely condition and moved very well "

His last win in Europe was BIS 2 Spaniel Club Deutschland under Mrs L van der Veen de Vos (Germany).
 
His winning progeny in Europe are doing him proud - including his young son, Diablo, winning BIS 3 at in International Show from the Junior Class and his daughter, Devine of Merrily has now moved to the UK and doing everyone proud.

In Australia/New Zealand he is the sire of FIVE CHAMPIONS to date, and many more with CC's and in Group awards to their credit.
