'Morris' is Angelique's first show dog, and he is doing her proud as they both learn the ropes of the showring. He is very short and cobby, with a wonderful outgoing temperament, and beautiful head and expression. We are very proud of this lovely little dog - we believe his breed vitures far outweigh his faults and we hope for some lovely wins with this typey boy. 'Morris' and Angel have been absent from the rings for most of 2006 concentrating on gaining their CCD (Obedience) title and'Morris' already has one pass toward his CCD. This has certainly paid off, as Angel and 'Morris' won the Novice Dog Obedience Class at the Cocker Spaniel National 2006 - and at the same event 5th Aust Bred Dog Class. Well done Angel - we couldn't be prouder.
Throughout the baby classes, Morris' was constantly in the winners circle, being beaten usually only by his litter sister, 'Macdolly Many Kisses' for Baby of Breed.
'Morris' won the Baby Dog Class and went on to Opposite Sex Baby in Show at the Cocker Spaniel Club of Qld Open Show February 2004 this was tthe beginning of his wins at Speciality level.
'Morris' was handled by Terri Davies throughout Minor, Puppy and Junior Class and he certainly enjoyed some great wins in the showring.
His next show saw him win again at Speciality level - 1st Aust Bred Dog Class and on to OPPOSITE AUST BRED IN SHOW - Cocker Spaniel Club Qld May 2007 under Mrs Julie Gotch.
Her critique of 'Morris': "Black Dog. Short cobby dog. Dark eye. I would like more strength in his fore-face. He has got good bone and nice feet and he moves quite soundly.........He is a compact, cobby dog, but the little bitch out-moved him today."
'Morris' recently celebrated his 4th birthday and is getting the best present ever - a new baby sister to join him in the coming months. Due to his ever increasing waistline, 'Morris' is now officially retired from showing, but is continuing with Obedience and his new love, Agility - we hope to hear great things of these forays in 2008.
