'Karisma' is a little slice of golden cocker history in Australia.  Her fate seemed sealed when she was the only bitch in a litter of three and I was truly thankful for being able to purchase her.

Her very first show gave a hint of what was to come by winning Baby In Group under breed specialist Mrs Lorraine Buchanen. Karisma titled quickly with many In Group Awards along the way.  She was known around the showrings for her great showmanship and effortless movement - and also for being the most coatless Cocker out there consistently in the winners circle.

She was sent to New Zealand to Mrs Shirley Barrett who arranged for her to be campaigned to her New Zealand title.  She won this with ease, even winning the CC at the Otago Spaniel Show.

Karisma also won Best In Group under well-respected cocker specialist Mr Geoff Kill (Bifield) and has many Classes in Show to her credit including Brace Awards with her son.

She also won many Best Gaited and Merriest Cocker Awards and to date, and was the first  gold cocker ever to become Australian AND New Zealand Champion, asd to the best of our knowledge is still the only Australian bred gold to gain these titles in both countries.

Not only was she an excellent showdog but she also starred in two television commercials and one print magazine advertisement.

Karisma was retired from the ring and produced only two very successful litters in her life. She was never happier than when she was chasing birds or swimming in the local creek.
We are so very proud that she produced us two Champions from her very first litter - Ch Macdolly Miss Kimberly and Ch Macdolly Miss Madison, and then her second litter, the once in a lifetime dog - Grand Champion Macdolly A Xmas kracker, and his litter sister, Macdolly A Xmas Sparkle CD TD.

Sadly, Karisma was laid to sleep early November 1999 and I am sure she is up in doggie heaven chasing all the birds she can find. What a wonderful foundation bitch this lovely gold girl was - and she laid the mark for others to follow.
