Welcome to Macdolly Cocker Spaniels

At Macdolly we have been exhibiting Solid English Cockers since 1987 & our first litter was born in 1989. To date we have bred 7 BIS winners. Our Danish import bitch is also a BIS winner. 

We have had many firsts in the breed - the first GOLD Grand Champion in the breed (GRAND CHAMPION MACDOLLY A XMAS KRACKER), the youngest Grand Champion in the breed (GRAND CHAMPION MACDOLLY AUGUSTUSLEONART), the first undocked Cocker to win a BEST IN SHOW ALL BREEDS in the country - CH SHEERCLEVER NOTHING ELSE MATTERS (imp Denmark), the first undocked Grand Champion in the breed GRAND CHAMPION JYNDEL AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

We have enjoyed many great wins over the years with many dogs that have touched our hearts.  Some we have had the fortune to have bred ourselves, some were owned or campaigned by us and some were descendants of dogs we have bred.  We have had misfortune as well, but that is part of life.

Our Show Team is lead by our black girl, GR CH JYNDEL AS GOOD AS IT GETS (Specialty BIS Winner, Royal CC Winner), who is occassionally joind by our beautiful 'Luby' CH MACDOLLY ALL OR NOTHING.  Our new showteam lineup in 2008 will feature our Bunny daughter, LAMORNA PON DE REPLAY 'Ivy' and a couple of show hopefuls from our current litter from Gr Ch Royoni Hes True Blue and our own CH MACDOLLY OBSESSION.  We hope that our boy 'Guess'  MACDOLLY INSATIABLE and our girl 'Reba' MACDOLLY IRREPLACEABLE will debut end February 2008, and do us proud.  We also hope to campaign  MACDOLLY ME N MY SHADOW, the lovely black and white girl, through to her title in 2008. 

Katie Morgan is leading the Sydney side - campaigning MACDOLLY LOVE N KISSES who is already half way to her title with multi In Group awards along the way, plus a PUPPY IN SHOW and JUNIOR IN SHOW award - all breeds - and occasionally her dam CH TEEMSTAR STARRY NIGHTS joins Kissy in the show ring.

Our extended show team in Far North Queensland is headed by Denise and Chelsea Burke of Monabecca Kennels.  Denise and Chelsea are exhibiting RUBIS CH MACDOLLY LIVE ACTION and MACDOLLY LOTSA KISSES  (Litter brother and sister), and a young blue roan boy MACDOLLY MAKE MINE BLUE.  Denise and Chelsea also have a new baby to show in 2008 - little 'Tilly' MACDOLLY IRRESISTABLE will debut late February and we have high hopes for this lovely puppy - we are sure she will make her mark in the Far North Qld Showring along with the rest of the team at Monabecca.

Our dogs are prepared and presented to perfection with the assistance and guidance of our wonderful friend, Simon Briggs. We can never thank Simon enough for his time, energy and expertise he puts into preparing and presenting our Cockers.

Unlike many other breeders, here at Macdolly we do not have kennels - our numbers are very low (at present we have one Cocker only with us) and all kept in show coat and in the show ring on a regular basis.  Here in Australia we have the ability to be able to attend a show within a 2 to 3 hour radius of our home almost every Saturday and Sunday without fail, and many Friday's have shows as well.  Our dogs all live in the house, sleep on the bed and are thoroughly spoilt rotten - as all Cocker Spaniels should be.

All our dogs are prepared exclusively in PLUSH PUPPY products, and campaigned by Simon Briggs, Terri Davies and upcoming junior handler Kirri-Lee Jacobson in Brisbane.  We travel throughout South East Queensland on a regular basis, and we also show interstate in Sydney and the NSW Region.

Our dogs are conditioned on PEDIGREE ADVANCE - our small show team is proudly sponsored and supported by PEDIGREE and we are very proud PEDIGREE GOLD PARTNERS.

We do not breed very often, and when we do have a litter, it is only because we wish to keep something for ourselves, or we plan a mating to produce a show prospect for one of the people on our waiting list.  We are however, very realistic, and not every litter produces a show prospect, and we always have puppies from our litters for sale to kind and caring pet/companion homes.  However, we do only sell to people who will allow their Cocker to live inside and be part of the family.  If you are not prepared to do that, then a Macdolly Cocker Spaniel is not for you.
